Superintendent

About the role

The Superintendent will lead the Field Operations and work in partnership with our Project Management team to build a safe, high quality, profitable project.

Responsibilities

• Leads the development of the project schedule with the Project Manager and ensures the team is executing to the plan
• Sets, communicates, and enforces production goals and schedules with the crews
• Implements effective cost controls over labor, material and equipment
• Manages and develops Foremen
• Manages equipment on the project and promotes a culture of equipment care
• Ensures accurate documentation
• Fully understands all collective bargaining agreements affecting his/her project and incorporates this knowledge in decision making
• Manages Subcontractors

Qualifications

• 7+ years progressive experience within the Heavy Civil Market (Infrastructure preferred)
• Experience with running self perform
• Expert knowledge of various areas of construction (structures, piles, bridges, earthwork, utilities)
• Proven leadership
• Excellent teamwork, communication and people skills a must.
