About the role
Bradford Construction, BRAVO's Construction Management firm, has an opportunity for an experienced Superintendent to support a ground-up public agency project in Queens. This is a full-time, day-shift position based in Douglaston, Queens, New York.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate, schedule, and oversee the General Contractor's management of their subcontractors and vendors on-site.
- Identify and resolve construction-related issues as they develop.
- Supervise self-perform work and develop specialized construction methods to improve job efficiency for owner-furnished items and vendors.
- Oversee material receiving, ensuring all items are inspected for quantity and quality, and receiving tickets are signed, coded, and filed properly.
- Maintain accurate timekeeping and cost control records.
- Support jobsite reporting requirements, including: daily reports, daily photos, field purchase orders, weekly unit reports, review of the GC's three-week lookahead schedules, and monthly updates to the overall construction schedule.
- Review shop drawings and submittals to assist project managers in maintaining compliance with the submittal schedule and contract documentation.
- Attend all required jobsite meetings.
- Maintain consistent quality control in line with company standards.
- Conduct on-site safety walks and reviews; provide Notices of Non-Compliance to GC for safety reviews.
- Maintain GC/Subcontractor permits and COI compliance logs/reviews.
- Act as main point of contact for coordinating and scheduling third-party inspections (TRs) and commissioning agents with the GC.
- Oversee NCR logs and corrective work updates from GC.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of work experience as a technical specialist in the construction industry.
- Proven experience in interpreting contract documents (specifications, drawings, shop drawings).
- Valid driver’s license.
- OSHA and SST certifications.
- Experience with NYC public agencies is strongly preferred, especially with ground-up projects.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Architecture, Construction, or a related field is preferred.

Pay
$115,000 USD - $125,000 USD
