Role Overview: The Superintendent leads facility-wide sanitation programs, ensuring compliance with food safety, quality, regulatory, safety, and operational standards. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the cleaning and sanitization of equipment, surfaces, and the plant environment, providing technical guidance and leadership.Develop, implement, evaluate, and improve sanitation systems and procedures, maintaining compliance with policies and regulations.Plan sanitation activities by establishing priorities, schedules, and resource allocation, while coordinating cross-functional efforts.Manage sanitation chemicals, inventory, and safety protocols, partnering with external experts to troubleshoot and resolve issues.Lead, coach, and develop sanitation teams, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.Ensure adherence to sanitation SOPs, participate in audits, and implement corrective actions.Balance operational needs with safety, quality, and cost considerations, demonstrating strong business acumen.Support safety programs and sanitation excellence initiatives across the organization.Collaborate with contractors, suppliers, and technical teams to optimize sanitation processes. Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.At least 4-5 years of sanitation or food manufacturing experience, with knowledge of sanitation processes, chemicals, and industry standards.Preferred supervisory experience, knowledge of GMPs, safety regulations, and leading operations in complex manufacturing settings.Strong leadership, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Additional Details: Location options include Timberville, VA, with potential relocation support. Compensation ranges from $110,000 to $130,000, plus discretionary incentives and benefits. The role emphasizes integrity, teamwork, and safety, aligning with organizational and regulatory standards.
