Superintendent
About the Role
We're seeking an experienced Traveling Superintendent to oversee field operations on large-scale construction projects throughout the United States. This role is responsible for managing daily jobsite activities, coordinating subcontractors, driving project schedules, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate is a hands-on construction leader with experience managing field operations on commercial, industrial, manufacturing, healthcare, mission critical, or other complex construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
Field Leadership
- Manage day-to-day construction activities from project startup through completion
- Lead subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to ensure project goals are achieved
- Coordinate work activities to maintain project schedules and productivity targets
- Monitor manpower, sequencing, and overall jobsite performance
Project Execution
- Ensure work is completed according to plans, specifications, contracts, and quality standards
- Conduct regular jobsite inspections and progress reviews
- Coordinate closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Owners, and Trade Partners
- Identify and resolve field challenges before they impact schedule or budget
Safety & Quality
- Promote and enforce company safety policies and project-specific requirements
- Conduct safety meetings, inspections, and daily site observations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and productive work environment
- Ensure all work meets quality expectations and client requirements
Communication & Documentation
- Maintain daily reports, schedules, and project documentation
- Participate in project meetings and provide regular updates to leadership
- Track milestones, production progress, and field performance metrics
- Support project turnover and closeout activities
Qualifications
Required
- 5+ years of Superintendent experience in commercial or industrial construction
- Proven experience managing subcontractors and field operations
- Strong knowledge of construction means and methods
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Experience maintaining project schedules and coordinating multiple trades
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to travel extensively for projects nationwide
Preferred
- Experience with large-scale commercial, industrial, manufacturing, healthcare, education, retail, mission critical, or mixed-use projects
- OSHA 30 Certification
- Experience using construction management and scheduling software
- Background working on fast-paced or ground-up construction projects

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Omaha, NE. This is a fully onsite position in Omaha, NE.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $58.00 - $58.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
