Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Rooftop maintenance including sealing, cementing, tarring, cleaning, and painting.
• Masonry work such as cleaning, sealing, repair, cementing, and scrubbing.
• Window and frame replacement, sealing, painting, and cleaning.
• Sheetrock/plaster repair, including holes from ½ and up, taping, sanding, cleaning, replacement, and painting.
• Plumbing tasks like using plungers, snakes, and chemicals to unclog drains, proper and safe use of tools, and installation/removal of plumbing fixtures.
• Electrical/wiring work involving installation and repair of lighting, intercoms, door buzzers, alarms, and programming boiler controls.
• Basement/cellar maintenance including securing doors, installing locks, and painting/sealing.
• Daily maintenance such as shoveling snow, sanding, salting, and scraping.
• Apartment turnover and other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• S-12 and S-13 certifications required or must be obtained within first 60 days of employment.
• 2-year degree or certificate in maintenance or similar field.
• Sustainability training or certificate preferred.
