About the role

The Superintendent 3 position at Manhattan Construction Company is responsible for overseeing field operations to ensure the safe, timely, and profitable completion of projects. This role requires strong leadership, organizational, and time management skills, as well as excellent communication and client service abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Implement Operation Zero and all Manhattan safety policies
  • Participate and execute roles to help create an Injury-Free Environment through own actions and mentoring of others
  • Day-to-day on-site supervision of field labor force
  • Review and approve Trade Contractor Pay Applications and material invoices with Project Manager
  • Develop and maintain site logistics plan, in coordination with Project Manager
  • Manage quality program
  • Coordinate site testing and inspection reports
  • Monitor costs, including labor time and material
  • Manage self-perform features of work
  • Manage the CPM schedule and look ahead schedules
  • Create daily reports and report quantities
  • Absorb and mobilize the site and set up utilities
  • Absure necessary permits are secured and inspections occur
  • Review and verify RFIs
  • Review and approve submittals for processing
  • Conduct themselves in accordance with our Guiding Principles and exhibit attributes matching the Way We Work
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent
  • May substitute required education degree with related experience on a one-to-one basis
  • 10 years of industry experience
  • Has led at least 1-3 projects or run several complex medium-sized projects to be determined by regional operations

  • Proficiency in writing and processing RFIs, document revisions, and recognizing changes of scope and need for pricing
  • Able to effectively lead teams through projects of medium to greater complexity
  • Exhibits the ability to manage a team with 1-2 Assistant/area superintendents
