Responsibilities

• Prepare dosage medications for dispensing into bottles/containers and unit dose packaging/repackaging.
• Count pills/tablets and mix medications that need to be reconstituted with water.
• Prepare oral syringes and compound sterile preparations.
• File, manage inventory, and deliver medication to patient care units.
• Fill and replenish automated dispensing cabinets.
• Collect, organize, and verify patient information.
• Perform clerical duties including answering phones, stocking shelves, cash collection/management, and data entry.
• Ensure absolute accuracy and precision in all aspects of the job to maintain patient health and safety.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Registered by and in good standing with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician; or licensed by and in good standing with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacist Intern.
• IV Certification preferred.
• Proficiency in CRT, Mathematics, Medical Terms, PC, and Typing.
