About the role

The Suny Temporary Cleaning Technician is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in designated areas within the Suny Geneseo College. This position is temporary and involves performing a variety of cleaning tasks to ensure a safe and sanitized environment for students, faculty, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning tasks such as dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitizing classrooms, offices, restrooms, and other public areas.
• Maintain equipment and supplies used in cleaning operations.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and guidelines.
• Follow established cleaning schedules and procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Knowledge of cleaning products and techniques.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar cleaning role preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
