About the role

The Ocean Key Resort and Spa is seeking an experienced Line Cook to join the Sunset Pier restaurant team. Located in the heart of Key West, Florida, this position offers a dynamic and exciting environment.

Responsibilities

• Must be able to exert physical effort in lifting up to 50 pounds
• Push/Pull 50 + pounds
• Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas
• Remain in mobile and standing position for at least 8 hours throughout work shift
• Satisfactorily communicate with guests, management and co-workers to their understanding
• Able to communicate effectively with guests and with other departments and interdepartmentally
• Must have a positive attitude

Requirements

• Experience as a Line Cook preferred
• Knowledge of food preparation and service standards
• Ability to follow safety procedures
• Strong communication skills
• Physical ability to perform tasks as described above

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Florida Food Handlers Card
• Previous experience in a similar role
