Summer Warehouse/Textbook Helpers

Qualifications

Must be at least 16 years of age
Preference given to students attending Topeka Public Schools

Physical/Emotional Requirements

• May be required to use the above requirements during any part of the working day.
• Regularly required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms.
• Occasionally required to use hands to handle, finger, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Performance Responsibilities

• Help with receiving, in-checking and stocking textbooks
• Sorting, shelving, moving books and other materials
• Lifting, carrying and moving books/boxes
• Using two-wheel dolly
• Counting and labeling textbooks
• Filling orders/requests
• Palletizing and shrinkwrapping

Terms of Employment

The position will be needed from June 1, 2026 through the end of July
6 hours per day
