Summer Warehouse Assistant

About the role

Singer Kittredge Equipment Company is hiring a Summer Warehouse Assistant on a temporary employment status to join their warehouse team.

Responsibilities

• Receive equipment and materials that are delivered to the company by vendors, customers, and other external warehouses.
• Properly and safely break down inbound freight in the mornings and help sort.
• Absorb and assist in loading outbound trucks.
• Utilize the appropriate safety equipment, maintain warehouse safety certifications, and attend safety training as required.
• Ensure the building grounds and warehouse are maintained in a clean, safe, and orderly manner.
• Perform administrative tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs and push up to 100lbs.
• Possess a clean driving record, obtain a valid license, and pass a DOT Medical and Physical Examination.
• Work a varied work schedule to fulfill delivery of products to customers (dayshift hours but may include early mornings and/or late evenings).
• Provide excellent customer service, time management, and communication skills while having a mechanically inclined mindset.
• Perform basic mechanical actions such as using basic hand tools, basic power tools, climb ladders, among other actions.
• Work well in a team environment with minimal supervision.
