About the role
Provide 1:1 support to students in a special education setting during the summer school program.
Responsibilities
- Support students with individualized educational plans
- Implement evidence-based teaching strategies
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals
- Assist in creating and maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field
- Current Maine Department of Education certification or CHRC
- Experience working with students with special needs
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Passion for supporting student learning
Skills
- Knowledge of special education laws and regulations
- Proficiency in using assistive technology
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills

Schedule
7:30am - 12:30pm, Monday through Friday
