About the role

Ready to turn what you’re learning in the classroom into real-world experience? Spend your summer at Santee Cooper working alongside experienced professionals, contributing to meaningful projects and gaining hands-on experience that supports South Carolina’s energy and water future.

Paid summer internships are available in a variety of fields, including:

• Engineering – Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, Environmental and related disciplines (up to $30/hour)
• Technology Services – Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, Information Systems and related disciplines (up to $30/hour)
• Biology & Environmental Sciences – Biology, Environmental Science, Natural Resources and related disciplines (up to $25/hour)
• Accounting & Finance – Accounting, Finance, Economics and related business disciplines (up to $25/hour)
• Supply Chain – Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, Operations and related disciplines (up to $25/hour)

Pay

Pay varies based on internship assignment, qualifications, and experience. Hourly rates range up to $30/hour for engineering and technology services roles, and up to $25/hour for biology & environmental sciences, accounting & finance, and supply chain roles.

Qualifications

We're looking for college students who are motivated, curious and ready to learn. Ideal candidates are:

• Currently enrolled and in an accredited college or university
• Pursuing a degree related to one of our internship areas
• Strong communicators and team players
• Ready to take initiative and contribute
• Interested in gaining meaningful professional experience
