Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Administrative Support: Scan, file, organize, and archive documents. Prepare files and materials for electronic storage. Assist with data entry and record maintenance. Assemble packets, training materials, and informational documents. Organize office supplies and work areas.
- Operations Support: Assist with operational improvement projects. Organize storage areas and records. Inventory equipment and supplies. Assist with records retention and document management projects. Complete assigned administrative tasks for various departments.
- Technology Support: Inventory computers, monitors, printers, and related equipment. Label and organize technology assets. Assist with basic workstation setup under supervision. Organize technology storage areas.
- Facilities Support: Assist with office organization projects. Prepare conference and training rooms. Assist with light facilities improvement projects. Help maintain organized storage and work areas.
Department Rotations
Interns may complete projects within departments including: Human Resources, Information Technology, Operations, Retail Banking, Lending, Marketing, Finance, and Administration.

Minimum Qualifications
- Be at least sixteen (16) years of age by the start of employment.
- Be actively enrolled in an accredited high school, homeschool program, vocational school, trade school, college, or university during the internship period.
- Be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Demonstrate professionalism, dependability, and a willingness to learn.
- Possess the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Be able to communicate effectively and follow verbal and written instructions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Interest in business, finance, banking, technology, marketing, accounting, human resources, or related career fields.
Physical Requirements
- Sit, stand, and walk throughout the workday.
- Lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally.
- Bend, stoop, reach, and climb short ladders or step stools when completing organizational projects.
- Operate standard office equipment including computers, scanners, printers, and telephones.
Program Eligibility
The Mountain Valley Bank Summer Internship Program is intended to provide educational and career development opportunities for students. Eligibility is limited to individuals who are actively enrolled in an accredited educational program during the internship period. Participation in the internship does not guarantee future employment with Mountain Valley Bank. Employment is temporary and will conclude at the end of the internship unless otherwise determined by the Bank.
Pay Range
$12 per hour
