Summer Camp Teacher
About the role
We are now hiring for Summer Camp Teachers for the 2026 Summertime at our lovely Guidepost school at South Beaverton! Our summer camps run from June to August. We are hiring for both full-time and part-time roles.
Responsibilities
- Support our Lead Teacher in guiding children to be more independent and confident in their abilities.
- Observe children closely to understand and best meet their needs.
- Prepare a beautiful, orderly environment that fosters independence and concentration.
- Provide individual and small-group lessons to support each child’s development.
- Form personal connections with each child and cultivate a community of collaboration and respect.
Requirements
- Familiar with the development of young children.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a customer-service oriented mindset.
- Willing to grow and learn.
- A valid negative TB test (in the last 12 months) or willing to take one before your state date.
- A valid CPR certification or willing to become certified before start date.
- Excited to learn more about Montessori Education.
Qualifications
- Montessori training preferred but not required.
- Experience with children aged 3 months to 6 years.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
