Summer Camp Counselor - Family Life Center

About the role

The YMCA of Greater Cleveland seeks Seasonal Camp Counselors to join our team and help provide quality, safe, and healthy programs and services in our community. This is a seasonal position starting at the end of May and running through mid-August.

Responsibilities

• Implement and deliver YMCA camp activities
• Work effectively with people of different backgrounds, abilities, opinions, and perceptions
• Engage in fun and creative activities for children of all ages
• Ensure safety and supervision of campers

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years of age
• One year experience working with children in a day camp setting preferred
• Experience with outdoor recreation, songs/music, skits, sports, aquatics, games, etc.

Qualifications

• Ability to work effectively with people of different backgrounds, abilities, opinions, and perceptions
• Comprehensive background check for all employees who work with children and youth

Skills

• Fun and creative

• Songs/music, skits, sports, aquatics, games, etc.
