Summer Analyst - Capital Markets

About the Program

Rockefeller Capital Management offers a distinctive Summer Analyst Program experience as a premier independent financial advisory firm. Our diversified businesses, boutique size, and entrepreneurial culture shape a dynamic, personalized experience for our Analysts. The Summer Analyst program is a ten-week (June-August) internship designed to provide an opportunity to experience the culture and atmosphere of Rockefeller Capital Management. Summer Analysts will be fully immersed in the day-to-day activities of the business, providing opportunities to learn, grow, and excel.

Eligibility

To be eligible for consideration, students must be projected 2028 graduates and in good standing at their school. Analysts should have an interest in the financial services industry and be eager to learn and make an impact.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Investment Solutions teams in performing diligence and analysis on a range of investment opportunities in the private and public markets.
• Assist the team in providing advisory practice management and new issue opportunities through platform, program, and process support to private wealth advisors.
• Provide support on inbound inquiries and questions that require immediate attention.
• Work with senior investment professionals and client advisors on special projects (such as investment memos, performance review/analysis, automation projects that require programming skills).
• Attend meetings and provide support with preparation of internal/external presentations.
• Research various industries/asset classes/opportunities that may represent potential opportunities.
• Participate in quantitative/qualitative analyses of investments on the platform, including structured products.

Requirements

• High school degree required.
• Pursuing a degree with a concentration in Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Business, or Computer Science is desirable.
• Prior internship experience in the financial industry, including wealth management or asset management, is a plus.

Skills

• Basic understanding of investments, portfolio reporting, and related terminology.
• Highly analytical and proficient in Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel; ability to use Excel to organize, analyze, present, and report on client information; Word, Access, and PowerPoint a plus.
• A self-starter who works well independently and as part of a team.
• Entrepreneurial and proactive mindset.
• Ability to multi-task and reassess priorities as situations arise.
• Detail-oriented and attentive to accuracy and deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a can-do attitude.

Pay

The anticipated hourly rate for this role is $38.00/hour. Salary for the role will depend on several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience, and may fall outside of this rate.
