Summer 2027 Technical Engineering Internship - Middletown, PA (ASSOCIATE'S DEGREE ONLY)

About the role

As the largest private‑sector power producer in the world and the nation's largest producer of clean and reliable energy, Constellation (now integrated with Calpine) offers a summer internship for 2027 on its Nuclear Technical teams. Interns will gain real‑world hands‑on experience at nuclear plants, working under the direction of maintenance and operations teams based on their major.

Responsibilities

• Gain real‑world hands‑on experience working within nuclear plants.
• Work under the direction of Maintenance teams (Electrical, Mechanical, Instrumentation & Control, Operations) based on major.
• Participate in intern projects such as heat exchanger maintenance, pump rebuilding, valve packing replacement, station battery testing, large transformer oil sampling, and motor testing.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an associate’s degree program in Operations Engineering and Technician, Electric Power Generation Technology, Energy Technology, Nuclear Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a similar field.
• Ability to obtain Nuclear Unescorted Access.
• Track record of outstanding academic performance.
• Eagerness to contribute to a team‑oriented environment.
• Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem‑solving environment.
• Excellent leadership, communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills.
• Must have the ability to lawfully work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
