About the role
Freese and Nichols is recruiting for our Summer 2027 Internship Program, recognized as a Top 100 Internship Program by Yello and WayUp. This internship offers an opportunity to grow professionally, build meaningful connections, and contribute to impactful projects from day one.
As an intern, you will work alongside experienced engineers on projects that strengthen communities, improve infrastructure, and shape the future. You’ll gain hands-on experience in your chosen engineering discipline while also exploring other technical practice areas to discover new interests and career paths.
The program emphasizes professional development and networking, with opportunities to connect with fellow interns, emerging professionals, and company leaders through events, activities, and mentorship.
Internships are office-based for an immersive, collaborative experience. Relocation and housing stipends are not provided.

Responsibilities
- Perform specific and limited tasks within a broader assignment
- Apply standard practices and techniques in specific situations
- Assist project manager as needed
- Collect, adjust, and correlate data
- Perform calculations and recognize discrepancies in results
Qualifications
- Current student pursuing a BS or MS degree in one of the listed majors
- Graduation date of August 2027 or later
Preferred Qualifications
- Student organizational involvement
