Summer 2027 Enterprise Risk Management Internship

About the role

Nationwide’s Enterprise Risk & Advanced Analytics (ERAA) team partners with business unit and corporate functions to help ensure that Nationwide's risk profile is well understood, effectively managed, and its capital position is strong. ERAA functions include Investment Risk Management, Asset Liability Management, Operational Risk Management, Risk & Capital Reporting, Enterprise Model Risk Management, Enterprise Risk & Capital Modeling, Enterprise Analytics Office, and matrixed relationships with the Nationwide Financial and Property & Casualty Actuarial offices. The Enterprise Risk Management Intern role is a 12‑week summer internship in Columbus, Ohio that provides exposure to model risk management, risk modeling, operational risk management, risk reporting, risk governance, risk data and analytics, with strong consideration for future full‑time positions.

Requirements

• Pursuing a degree in Risk Management, Finance, Economics, Data Science, Business Administration, or Statistics.
• Within 2‑3 semesters of graduation.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Nationwide does not participate in the STEM OPT Extension program; sponsorship for qualifying positions is offered at the company’s discretion and is not usually available for entry‑level roles.

Pay

The national hourly pay range for Nationwide Internships is: $23 - $50. Placement within the actual starting salary range for this position will be determined by a number of factors including the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; and other conditions of employment.
