Summer 2027 Delivery Management Undergraduate Intern
About the role
The Summer 2027 Project Management Undergraduate Internship provides students with an opportunity to gain practical, hands-on experience supporting strategic initiatives within Highmark Health's Delivery Management organization. This internship is designed to develop the next generation of business professionals by providing direct exposure to project management methodologies, stakeholder engagement, strategic planning, and project execution across a complex healthcare environment. As a member of the Delivery Management team, the intern will work alongside experienced Project Managers and cross-functional business partners to support projects throughout the entire project lifecycle, from initial planning and requirements gathering through execution, monitoring, and delivery. Participants will gain valuable insight into how project management enables organizational transformation, operational excellence, and the advancement of Highmark Health's Living Health strategy. The program provides hands-on training and real-world experience in project planning, scheduling, risk management, stakeholder communication, and project governance. Interns will contribute to meaningful projects while developing foundational project management skills and gaining exposure to various project delivery methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall approaches. Through mentorship, professional development opportunities, and a summer capstone project, interns will strengthen their leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities while building a strong foundation for a future career in project management.
