Summer 2027 - Application Support Analyst Intern
Koch Engineered Solutions (KES) is seeking an Application Support Analyst Intern to join our Information Technology team in Wichita, KS. Responsibilities
- Assist IT and business teams in supporting application systems and learning how to troubleshoot basic technical issues
- Help proactively monitor and support key ERP and Engineering applications
- Partner with business users to understand system challenges and identify opportunities for improvement
- Support the creation and maintenance of documentation to help resolve common problems
- Participate in team meetings and project activities to gain insight into IT operations and business transformation projects
- Coordinate with business partners to conduct user acceptance testing
- Recommend enhancements of products to optimize work processes
- Continue to quickly learn new systems and products based on business needs
- Participate in projects that improve business processes, application functionality, and user experience
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to support application reliability and business continuity
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a degree program related to one of the following areas: Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related technical field with at least one semester or term remaining after the internship
- Eligible for full-time employment by June 2028
- Curiosity and basic hands-on experience experimenting with AI/ML tools or generative assistants (Copilot, LLMs, AI APIs) or a clear willingness to learn and apply such tools safely under guidance
- Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a Visa transfer or Visa sponsorship
Qualifications
- Initiative, natural curiosity, strong communication skills, and an aptitude for fast-paced learning
- Prior IT support or familiarity with IT service management or ticketing tools (i.e., ServiceNow) is a plus
- Interest in process improvement, software engineering, or data analytics
Pay
Any compensation range provided for a role is an estimate determined by available market data. The actual amount may be higher or lower than the range provided considering each candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities, and geographic location.
