Summer 2027 AIM Hedging Research Analyst Internship | Fully Onsite

About the role

The Hedging Research Intern Analyst position is a rewarding experience for those pursuing a PhD in a variety of technical fields. During the program, Hedging Research Intern Analysts will work alongside our team of quants, portfolio managers, software developers, researchers, and traders to assess and mitigate the market risks for Allianz Life and other clients across the globe.

Responsibilities

• Support the dynamic hedge trading desk
• Expand technical skills, programming abilities, and knowledge of financial math
• Research, develop, and modify quantitative models for derivatives hedging
• Implement quantitative models in C#
• Utilize artificial intelligence tools and resources (e.g. generative AI)

Requirements

• Progress towards, or completion of, a PhD in mathematics, physics, computer science, economics, engineering, or a related field
• Strong technical skills in mathematical modeling, reading papers, writing software for research purposes
• The right candidate will possess an outstanding record of academic achievement and an interest in the financial markets

Qualifications

• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and will not require immigration sponsorship for visa status now or in the future (e.g. H1-B, L-1, TN, etc)
• If you are currently on CPT/OPT, you are ineligible due to the need for future immigration sponsorship

Skills

• Strong technical skills in mathematical modeling, reading papers, writing software for research purposes

Pay

Base Salary Range: $31/hr – $35/hr
