About the role
The S.U.E. Operator reports to a Business Unit Leader and works in a non-exempt FLSA classification. This position involves traveling 90% of the time.
Responsibilities
- Promote DDG's core values both internally and externally and comply with the DDG Company Manual
- Accurately trace underground utilities using the most effective method tailored to each utility type
- Coordinate with clients to ensure all questions are clearly defined and understood by respondents
- Follow instructions/work orders from S.U.E/Crew Manager
- Maintain a positive attitude and professional demeanor with all staff and clients
- Communicate daily with your S.U.E./Crew Manager to confirm progress and schedule
Requirements
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- 2+ years experience in S.U.E field operations
- Strong understanding of S.U.E. research process, data collection, and analysis
- Excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED with S.U.E field experience and knowledge to perform tasks required
- Ability to read and interpret records research documentation
- Knowledgeable in the use of Geophysical technology (RD8200, etc.)
- Valid Driver’s License
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 to 50 pounds at times
- Must be able to travel to various project sites
- Must be able to access and navigate job sites and construction areas
