SUE Field Technician

Responsibilities
- Assist SUE Field Supervisor and other crew members with all aspects of the daily crew workload.
- Operate SUE instrumentation and equipment such as global positioning systems (GPS), data collectors, EM locators, ground penetrating radar, and vacuum excavation equipment.
- Absorb and perform SUE surveys to ascertain the locations of man-made structures on the Earth’s surface, underground, and underwater.
- Ensure safekeeping of equipment.
- Read and interpret construction, utility, and survey maps.
- Ensure vehicles and supplies are ready for duty.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of relevant work experience
- High school degree or equivalent
- Valid drivers license
- Dependable and physically able to work outdoors and on construction sites in all weather conditions
- Willing and able to work overtime as required
Preferred
- Complete an advanced utility locating training course or ability to obtain within 6 months
