Responsibilities
- SUD Specialist AOD (3rd Shift) Overnight - 11:30PM - 7:30AM Night Shift
- Maintain security procedures for the facility.
- Oversee residents’ rooms; conduct room searches and ensure room standards are kept.
- Provide crisis intervention and stabilization to assist clients in symptom management.
- Complete accurate and timely documentation as contractually required and meet minimum requirements for client services.
- Shift coverage including part of the on-call team.
- Maintain confidentiality of client’s care.
- Participate in scheduled program meetings.
- Aid in assessment, intake, transition, discharge of clients entering/exiting the withdrawal management and residential program.
- Conduct withdrawal management observations, monitor client progress, and maintain strong communication with the clinical team.
- Administer baseline and random drug testing in accordance with program policies.
- Monitor clients’ self-administered medications, conduct medication check-in, and compliance data entry.
- Aid in conducting evidenced based clinical and patient education groups.
- Other relevant duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School diploma required.
- Registered or certified from recognized AOD certifying (CCAPP, CADTP, CAADE) board is required.
- Valid CA driver’s license and current auto insurance per contract requirements required.
- Experience providing mental health and/or substance use disorder services preferred.
- Cultural competency understanding required.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and EHR software preferred.
- CPR/First Aid certification (required within 30 days of hire), and bi-annual thereafter.
- Bilingual preferred.
