Responsibilities
- Assists patients through medically assisted treatments and offers techniques for handling opioid addiction.
- Conducts individual and group counseling sessions to assist with crisis management and coping strategies.
- Evaluates patients' progress during counseling and collaborates with doctors, nurses, and other counselors to assist patients in achieving their overall outcomes.
- Facilitates, establishes, and reviews each patient's initial treatment plan.
- Completes bio-psychosocial assessments.
- Develops aftercare and discharge plans.
- Ensures efficient and effective delivery of counseling services in a trauma-informed manner.
- Performs other related duties as determined by the supervisor.
Qualifications
- Must possess an Ohio CDCA, LCDC II, LCDC III, LPC, or LSW.
- Previous experience working with chemically dependent individuals is preferred.
- Demonstrate a positive, non-judgmental, and accepting attitude toward the patient population.
- Understand and utilize an EMR system (electronic medical records).
- Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check required.
