Admission Counselor

Responsibilities

• Coordination of significant annual recruitment program or activity
• Travels throughout assigned region as needed
• Plans and organizes travel schedule
• Maintains relationships with high school guidance personnel
• Facilitates and communicates with prospective students and their parents
• Reviews admission files and recommends admission
• Coordinates and implements individual and group visits to the University
• Works with Athletic department, faculty, and staff
• Participates in events, evenings, and weekends
• Ensures integrity and consistency of recruitment data
• Enhances professional growth and development
• Serves on University Committees

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required
• Prior experience in higher education, particularly small, private undergraduate education preferred
• Excellent oral, interpersonal, and written communication skills
• Demonstrated experience in completing multiple projects and responsibilities
