About the role

The Position Substitute Transporter will provide transportation services for students within the Charlevoix-Emmet Intermediate School District.

Responsibilities

  • Lift adaptive equipment (25-35 lbs)
  • Meet State requirements for licensing, physical exam required (including diabetes questionnaire if applicable), approved driving record of less than 7 points
  • Report to Transportation Coordinator
  • Reports to work on a schedule varying from September through June each year, with hours ranging from 4-6.5 hours per day.

Qualifications

  • Capable of lifting adaptive equipment (25-35 lbs)
  • Meet the requirements of MI. Essential Ins. Act for standard automobile insurance
  • Demonstrate responsibility, dependability, efficiency, and the ability to work with others
  • Demonstrate the ability to keep all information regarding a student and family confidential
  • Attend two in-service sessions per master agreement

Requirements

  • Meet State requirements for licensing
  • Physical exam required (including diabetes questionnaire if applicable)
  • Approved driving record of less than 7 points
