About the role
The Katherine Thomas School, a private special education school serving students with language, learning, and sensory motor disabilities and high-functioning autism, has openings for Substitute Teaching Assistants in its early childhood and middle school programs for the 2026/2027 school year.
This position assists staff in implementing instructional lessons and monitoring students. Substitutes will always work alongside other school staff.
Schedule
Working hours vary based on program needs. School hours are 8:30 AM – 4:15 PM; substitutes may be called for any portion of the day.
Pay
$17.50/hour without a Bachelor’s degree; $19.00/hour with a Bachelor’s degree.
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Must be 18 or older
- Previous work in a school setting preferred
