About the role

Substitute teachers are responsible for managing the classroom and daily duties of the absent teacher.

Pay

Daily Rate: $150.00 per day.

Application process

As part of the SAU 39 Substitute Application process, applicants will interview with a building administrator at one of our five schools. If an applicant has a preference as to which school they would like to substitute at, we will coordinate an interview with that building administrator.

The goal of SAU 39 is to meet and qualify applicants who apply to be on the substitute list, to explore position expectations, and to discuss the role the substitute teacher plays in student learning outcomes for the day. This meeting also provides the applicant with a tour of the school in which they are interested in working and an opportunity to address any questions or concerns to ensure the role is a good fit.
