Substitute Teacher (Northwest Metro)

About the role

We are seeking a SUBSTITUTE CHILDCARE TEACHER to join our team at New Horizon Academy in the Plymouth and West metro area. Substitutes in our Northwest area will be responsible for working at schools in the Fridley, Brooklyn Park, Ramsey and Anoka areas.

Responsibilities

• Work 7am-4pm or 8am-5pm a minimum of three days a week.
• Travel up to 20 miles to different schools within the metro area.
• Show a positive work ethic and a team-centered attitude.
• Be willing to learn and grow as an educator.
• Enjoy working with children!

Requirements

• A minimum of 16 qualifying semester credits or a CDA to be considered teacher-qualified under MN Rule 3.
• Willingness and ability to work 7am-4pm or 8am-5pm a minimum of three days a week.
• Ability to travel up to 20 miles to different schools within the metro area.
• A positive work ethic and a team-centered attitude.
• Willingness to learn and grow as an educator.
• Experience in Early Childhood Education or related field of work is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Must meet position qualification requirements as outlined by the state department guidelines.
• Must satisfy the Applicant Background Study required by state regulations.
• Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to legally work in the United States.
• Must have the physical abilities to perform the required job duties with or without accommodations.
• Must have the ability to communicate effectively with children, families, and staff, as well as to understand state licensing regulations and company policies.
