Substitute Teacher

Thank you for your interest in becoming a substitute for the Worth County School District. Worth County Schools has partnered with ESS to manage our substitute program. A leader in K-12 staffing, ESS is now responsible for the hiring, training, and placement of all daily and long-term substitute teachers, paraprofessionals, school nutrition workers, clerical personnel, etc.

Responsibilities

• Teach students according to the curriculum and standards set by the school district.
• Adhere to classroom management policies and procedures.
• Assist in maintaining a safe and positive learning environment.
• Follow all applicable laws, regulations, and school district policies.

Requirements

• A valid teaching certificate or equivalent certification.
• Experience teaching in a K-12 setting preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a background check.
• Pass a drug screening.

Skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Effective time management and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of educational technology tools.
