About the role
Fill in for absent preschool - 8th grade teachers daily as needed.
Responsibilities
- Deliver planned lessons
- Work with the front desk when not assigned to a classroom
- Communicate with classroom teachers about student observations
- Supervise and support inclusive and fair play
- Monitor students during lunch and recess
Qualifications
- Eager to uphold the SFS mission and educational philosophy
- Passionate about and enjoys working with children
- Ready to assure students are joyfully engaged
- Responsible, adaptable, creative, and takes initiative
- A talented, student-centered, and inspiring educator
- Culturally competent, engaged community member who is an excellent communicator
- Flexible and able to adjust to different developmental needs and expectations of preschool to 8th grade students
- Skilled in classroom management and restorative practices
- Reflective and committed to a growth mindset
- A college graduate (bachelor’s degree)
- With two to three years of classroom experience
