Minimum Qualifications
Must have completed at least one of the following:
- 36 college credit hours
- Completed Missouri's 20-hour online substitute training program
Nice-to-Haves
- Successful experience in an elementary or middle school setting
- Fluency in French, Mandarin, or Spanish
Responsibilities
- Report to the school building each day (this is not an "on-call" substitute teaching position; assignments vary by building needs)
- Oversee various areas of classroom instruction following guides provided by the classroom teacher
- Lead whole class, small group, and individual learning
- Collaborate with the entire K-8 team to promote higher levels of learning for all students
- Monitor student culture and safety
Pay
Annual salary starts at $37,450 and increases with years of experience. SLLIS salaries are higher than 90% of public schools in Missouri.
