Substitute Teacher
PRIMARY FUNCTION(S)
In the absence of the regular classroom teacher, provides meaningful instruction in order to help students learn subject matter and/or skills for scheduled lessons. Maintains a class environment favorable to learning and personal growth. Establishes effective rapport with students and manages classroom effectively.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implements the instructional plans left by the classroom teacher.
- Creates a classroom environment that is conducive to learning.
- Guides the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals and objectives.
- Maintains a neat and orderly classroom.
- Records notes/observations for classroom teacher.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Education/Experience: Bachelor’s Degree required. Teacher licensure preferred.
COMPENSATION
The daily rate for substitute teacher is $130.
