Substitute Teacher

Position Summary

Substitute for teachers who are absent or unable to attend. Salida del Sol Academy is a K-8 dual language charter school in Greeley, CO and welcomes Spanish and English speaking guest teachers.

Job Qualifications

• Current teaching license or CDE substitute license
• Salida del Sol Academy may sponsor 1 year Substitute Licensure
• 4 year degree or higher - official transcripts to be submitted preferred but not required
• Bilingual skills - Spanish preferred but not required

• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Good problem solving ability; good judgement
• Ability to interact appropriately with children of different ages

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Actual duties and responsibilities may vary depending upon assignments and other factors.
• Absorbs responsibility for overseeing classroom instruction, pupil behavior in class and during lunch and recess periods.
• Records absences in accordance with school procedures.
• Upon completion of the teaching day, the substitute is expected to stop in the school office to receive instructions relative to another assignment; complete required personnel forms, return keys and other materials.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

CURRENT SUBSTITUTE PAY IS $160.00 PER DAY
