SUBSTITUTE TEACHER

Substitute Teachers must have completed 48+ college credits or an associate's degree from an accredited college or university, or have passed the ParaPro test with a result of 455 (or higher).

About the role

This temporary position performs a variety of tasks, including, but not limited to, supervising students, ensuring continuity of instruction, and managing student behavior. It communicates effectively with students, staff, and the public. The work is performed under the supervision of the building administrator. The duration of the assignment is dependent on program needs and the availability of funding.

• Follow written and oral instructions and directions related to instructional, behavioral, emergency, and health-related plans and services
• Physically report for work at the school in person

Requirements

• 48+ college credits or an associate's degree from an accredited college or university, or a ParaPro test result of 455 or higher
• Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
• Skill in effectively communicating with students, teachers, parents, and other school personnel
• Submit a complete substitute application, copies of college transcript(s) or ParaPro test result, and professional references completed by current/former supervisors

$22.25/hour
