Substitute Teacher

Responsibilities

• Follow lesson plans provided by the classroom teacher or school administration
• Maintain a positive, structured, and respectful learning environment
• Supervise students during classroom activities, transitions, and lunch/recess (as needed)
• Provide instructional support in core subjects (ELA, Math, Science, Social Studies)
• Manage classroom behavior using school-approved strategies
• Take attendance and document notable incidents or achievements
• Communicate effectively with school staff and administrators
• Ensure student safety at all times
• Support school culture, expectations, and routines
• Perform other duties as assigned by the school or Legacy Solutions team

Qualifications

• A High School Diploma required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Experience working with children (schools, camps, churches, tutoring, coaching, etc.)
• Ability to follow lesson plans and maintain classroom discipline
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Dependable, flexible, and professional
• Preferred Skills: Classroom experience (volunteer or paid), strong organizational and time-management skills, ability to relate to students from diverse backgrounds, strong Classroom Management Skills, passion for education and community impact

Work Schedule

• Monday–Friday
• Flexible scheduling available
• Full-day and half-day assignments
