Job Summary
Responsibilities
- Follow lesson plans provided by the classroom teacher or school administration
- Maintain a positive, structured, and respectful learning environment
- Supervise students during classroom activities, transitions, and lunch/recess (as needed)
- Provide instructional support in core subjects (ELA, Math, Science, Social Studies)
- Manage classroom behavior using school-approved strategies
- Take attendance and document notable incidents or achievements
- Communicate effectively with school staff and administrators
- Ensure student safety at all times
- Support school culture, expectations, and routines
- Perform other duties as assigned by the school or Legacy Solutions team
Qualifications
- A high school diploma required; an associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
- Experience working with children (schools, camps, churches, tutoring, coaching, etc.)
- Ability to follow lesson plans and maintain classroom discipline
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Dependable, flexible, and professional
- Preferred skills: Classroom experience (volunteer or paid), strong organizational and time-management skills, ability to relate to students from diverse backgrounds, strong classroom management skills, passion for education and community impact
