Substitute Teacher

JOB GOALS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Engage and inspire students to learn the subject matter.
• Impart skills and attitudes that will positively contribute to students' development as mature, able, and responsible Christian men and women.
• Integrate Biblical principles throughout the curriculum.
• Implement a course of study outlined by the teacher to meet the individual needs of students.
• Assess student progress and report back to the teacher regarding that progress.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with parents, students, administration, and faculty for the success of each student.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

• Substitute teachers work on an as-needed basis and are employed according to established school policies.
• This position is paid at an hourly rate in one-quarter day increments.
• This is an “at-will” position, and employment for a time does not guarantee continued employment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Regularly required to talk and hear.
• Frequent need for close vision, distance vision, ability to adjust focus, and peripheral vision.
• Frequent need to walk, stand, sit, use hands for fine manipulation, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms using a keyboard and video display terminal.
• Occasional need to stoop, kneel, or crouch.
• The ability to demonstrate proper techniques and skills needed for athletic participation.
• Occasional lifting or transporting of objects (25-30lbs) may be required.
