POSITION OBJECTIVE
Managing student learning, in the absence of the regular teacher in accordance with the goals and directives of the school.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintains a positive learning environment for all students and a professional relationship with all staff in accordance with school policy.
- Ensures adequate supervision to assure health, welfare, and safety of all students.
- Implements lesson plans, while ensuring the integrity of academic time and in a manner which motivates students to learn and participate.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree is required.
- Candidate must hold a valid Arizona Substitute Certificate or Arizona Teaching Certificate IVP Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Positions in this class typically require: stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, finger dexterity, grasping, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.
- Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Incumbents may be subjected to moving mechanical parts, odors, chemicals, extreme temperatures, inadequate lighting, workspace restrictions, and intense noises.
