Substitute Teacher

Position Objective

Maintains a positive learning environment for all students and a professional relationship with all staff in accordance with school policy. Implements lesson plans, while ensuring the integrity of academic time and in a manner which motivates students to learn and participate.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Maintains a positive learning environment for all students and a professional relationship with all staff in accordance with school policy.
• Ensures adequate supervision to assure health, welfare, and safety of all students.
• Implements lesson plans, while ensuring the integrity of academic time and in a manner which motivates students to learn and participate.

Qualifications

• Education equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree is required.
• Candidate must hold a valid Arizona Substitute Certificate or Arizona Teaching Certificate IVP Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Physical Requirements

• Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
• Incumbents may be subjected to moving mechanical parts, odors, chemicals, extreme temperatures, inadequate lighting, workspace restrictions, and intense noises.
