Substitute Teacher

About the role

LearnWell is seeking substitute teachers to assist in unique behavioral health teaching environments. Both daily and long-term substitute positions are available.

Responsibilities

• Work with small groups of students in therapeutic environments to help them stay on track academically.
• Facilitate lessons for students who do not have work assigned.
• Complete session reports for each student at the end of the class.
• Oversee students completing their schoolwork as needed.

Requirements

• Teaching certification preferred but not required.
• B.A./B.S. degree from an accredited institution required.
• A passion for working with students K-12.
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
• Availability to work as per diem, on-call the same day (6-7 times a month, with some months being more).

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must be able to pass a background check.

Skills

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Knowledge of educational standards and curriculum.
