Substitute Teacher
Requirements / Qualifications
Applicants are required to submit the following through EdJoin:
- Resume
- Three (3) Professional Letters of Recommendation (at least 1 dated within the past year)
- Copy of Unofficial Transcripts of Bachelor's Degree
- Copy of Emergency Permit or Credential (if available)
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO SUBSTITUTE TEACH
Option 1: Standard Substitute Teaching Permit
Possess Bachelor's Degree (or higher) from a regionally accredited University accepted by Commission on Teacher Credentialing (www.ctc.ca.gov)
Option 2: Prospective Substitute Teaching Permit
90 semester units completed/accepted from an accredited university (with verification of current enrollment)
Passing status of CBEST/Basic Skills Requirement set by Commission on Teacher Credentialing

All other Preliminary and Clear California Credential holders are highly encouraged to apply

After a conditional offer of employment, applicants will be required to pay the cost of pre-employment processing which may include: Skin T.B. test ($20-$67).
