About the role

The Stoler Early Learning Center is part of the JCC of Greater Baltimore, located at the Rosenbloom Owings Mills Campus. We serve 200 children from 6 weeks to kindergarten.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a safe environment for all children in the school by providing active supervision at all times.
  • Engage in reflection and discussion about children's growth and learning.
  • Support the Lead Teacher in documenting children's play and learning.
  • Be sensitive to individual children's differences and needs.
  • Create opportunities for social interaction, physical activity, creative expression, and Jewish experiences both indoors and outdoors.
  • Encourage students to be responsible for their own learning.
  • Work with the teaching team to cover the required state content areas/domains.
  • Care for classroom environment and aesthetics.
  • Communicate with families and colleagues professionally.
  • Participate in professional development and lifelong learning.
  • Perform additional program duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required, 90-hour Certification, CDA, Associates, or bachelor’s degree in early childhood education; education; child development, or related field preferred.
  • Working knowledge of the growth and development of young children.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Experience working in Early Childhood or Elementary Education, preferably in a constructivist, child-centered setting.
  • Ability to be flexible, multi-task, and prioritize workload.
  • Comfort exploring both indoors and outdoors in a variety of weather.
  • Basic Judaic knowledge or willingness to learn.

Qualifications
