Substitute Teacher

Daily pay rates:

• $115.00 per day for NJ certified or County substitute certified candidates with a BA or MA
• $111.44 per day for County substitute certified candidates with an AA or 30 credits

Qualifications and Skills

• NJ Substitute Teacher Certificate or NJ Teaching Certificate required
• Associates degree (30 credits or more) required
• Ability to maintain a positive learning environment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Ensure supervision of students at all times
• Implement lesson plans and classroom learning activities
• Maintain discipline and classroom control to promote active learning while teaching the outlined lesson
• Maintain established routines and procedures of the school and classroom
• Ability to meet the physical requirements necessary to safely and effectively perform required duties
• Other duties as assigned
