Substitute Teacher

Responsibilities

• Teach K-12 students through proper classroom management

Qualifications

• Experience with children/teens in a formal or informal setting
• High School Diploma required for ECE/Preschool roles
• Adaptable, reliable, and flexible
• Strong interpersonal skills with a knack for connecting with students

• Previous experience in educational settings is a plus but not required

Physical and Mental Requirements

• Frequently sit, bend, grasp (light or fine manipulation), talk, and hear
• Frequently stand and/or walk, write by hand
• Stand for periods outside in the sun to monitor children during recess, PE, or playtime
• Occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 60 pounds
• Occasionally twist, bend, stoop, squat, kneel, work above the shoulder, or sit on the floor
• Comply with safety policies and protocols activated by the school
• Climb up/down stairs and hills

Pay

Starting pay: $20.50 per hour (increasing to $21 per hour starting 9/1/26)
