Substitute Teacher

Responsibilities
- Perform as an instructor in a regular classroom setting, presenting instructions in designated subject areas.
- Promote a positive and desirable atmosphere within the classroom setting to maximize student motivation.
- Maintain a high degree of discipline within the classroom setting to ensure maximum learning.
- Maintain student personnel folders; record and forward daily attendance to the Student Records area.
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- A College degree, trade certification, or military experience required.
- Must be at least 22 years of age per Florida Department of Education substitute teaching requirements.
- Teaching certification preferred.
- A valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record preferred.
- Required to pass a drug screen in compliance with our Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy.

About Our Program
Eckerd Connects is the largest nationwide residential career training program in the country and has been operating for more than 60 years. The program helps eligible young people ages 16 through 24 complete their high school education, train them for meaningful careers, and assist them with obtaining employment.
