About the role

The Teacher serves under the direction of the school principal, supporting the mission of the Roman Catholic Church through education and ministry.

Responsibilities

• Support the unique Catholic Mission of the School by aligning with the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church.
• Model Gospel values and actively participate in faith community activities.
• Lead and participate in classroom prayer.
• Execute prepared lessons aligned with academic and religious curricula.
• Evaluate student progress using methods directly related to curriculum objectives.
• Manage classroom discipline and promote positive student behavior.
• Maintain a functional and pleasant learning environment.
• Work collaboratively with school and diocesan administration.
• Enforce school policies and regulations professionally.
• Adhere to school dress code standards.
• Comply with school rules and directives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• A working knowledge of and strong commitment to fostering lay leadership in the Roman Catholic Church.
• If a baptized Catholic, must be a practicing Roman Catholic in full communion with the Church.
• Excellent communications, human relations, and interpersonal skills.
• Available for evening and weekend work as necessary.
• Proficient in computer technology and able to maintain confidentiality.
• Flexible in adapting strategies in a ministerial environment.
• Professional bearing and neat personal appearance.
